FAQ
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the site, answer a few questions, change things by talking to IILA or clicking on the page, and manage content in Manage site. The code is there if you or a developer want it.
Do I own my site?
Yes. Your content and your customers' data are yours. The code is yours to download — included on Pro and Agency, ₹499 per site on Free and Starter — and you can host it anywhere.
How long does a build take?
About 27 minutes for a typical site, most between 24 and 30. Why.
What does the free plan include?
One full build to try in the preview — everything Chirai builds, nothing held back. To put it live, choose a plan from Starter (₹799/month), or buy its code for ₹499 and host it yourself.
Can Chirai build mobile apps?
Yes — choose App on the build page for a native iOS and Android app. Chirai builds it in Expo's cloud and sends it to Google Play (internal testing) and the App Store (TestFlight and review). You need your own developer accounts. See Mobile apps.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, from Starter. See Your own domain.
Where is my site hosted?
On Vercel, at yourname.chirai.dev or your own domain. The database is Supabase (Postgres), separate for every site.
Is there a watermark or "Made with Chirai" badge?
No.
Is there an API for starting builds?
Not yet.
What if I stop paying?
Your account works as Free: you can't publish or start new builds until you pay again. Download your code first if you want to host it yourself.
How do I get help?
Email support-note@chirai.dev. For store publishing, the Studio's guide also has an "Ask anything" box.
