Using Chirai · Chapter 7

Manage site

Manage site is your site's admin area. Everything a visitor sees that isn't code — products, prices, orders, bookings, text, your business details — is managed here, and changes appear on the live site within a minute. Open it from ⚙ Manage site in the Studio, or from My Apps.

NoteManage site works with the site's real database, so publish the site first (or use Content mode in the Studio for the preview).

Overview

Visitors over the last 30 days, a getting-started checklist, and a reminder of which content is still sample content. The newsletter lives here too: write an email to all subscribers (each gets an unsubscribe link) and send yourself a test first.

Text

Change any words on your live site — headings, buttons, paragraphs — without IILA and without republishing. Changes are live within a minute.

Your site's records

The left menu has one entry for each kind of thing your site stores, with friendly names: Products, Categories, Orders, Customers, Bookings, Discount codes, Contact inbox, Testimonials, Jobs, Recipes — whatever your site has. For each you can list, search, add, edit and delete.

  • Photos: upload one, paste a link, or press Make picture to have one made by AI.
  • Orders and bookings come from customers, so they can't be added or deleted by hand. Change an order's status and the customer is emailed; add a tracking number; refund; open the invoice; book a courier through Shiprocket.
TipEvery new site starts with sample records so the pages aren't empty. Replace them before you publish — the Overview shows which ones are still samples.

Shop & business

Called Business details if your site has no shop.

Sales

For shops: money in, number of orders, average order, today's sales, best sellers, products running low, and carts brought back by the reminder email. Set the "running low" level and switch the checkout reminder on or off here.

Returns

For shops: customers ask for a return or exchange from their order page, within your policy. You accept or decline here; the customer gets an email (and a WhatsApp message if connected).

Your site in AI assistants

People can ask ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants about your business and get answers from your live site: what you sell, prices, services, listings. In the assistant, add a custom connector with the address shown under Business details → AI assistants (https://api.chirai.dev/api/site/<your site>/mcp). It shares only what visitors already see on your site, never orders, accounts or your customers' details, and it can't change anything. Untick the box to turn it off.

Site check

Chirai opens your real site in a browser and reports: links that lead nowhere, script errors, missing photos, empty pages, pages too wide for a phone, and — for shops — whether buying works from product to order. It runs after every preview and publish; anything it can fix, it fixes.

Going live with changes

  • Records and text (products, prices, orders, Text): live within a minute, no publishing.
  • Page changes (IILA, click-to-edit, the section editor): published automatically about 30 seconds after your last change, with a progress bar showing "Going live in 25s…". Turn this off in Shop & business if you'd rather press Publish yourself.
